Pakistani Prime Minister Yousef Gilani is now actively promoting the expansion of economic cooperation with China.
Gilani has made the push at the China-Pakistan Entrepreneurs' Forum in Beijing.
"As China diversifies its economy, with special emphasis on the development of its west regions as well as shift to high technology, the economic sector will make it attractive for the Chinese industry to relocate and establish manufacturing bases in Pakistan. Our economic fundamentals and growth potential are enormous."
China-Pakistan economic cooperation has been on the increase since the launch of a free trade agreement five years ago.
Bilateral trade last year stood at nearly $9 billion US dollars, an increase of almost 30 percent year-on-year.
