To mark the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Pakistan began CRI and organized a system of reporting travel along the major rivers of Pakistan. More than 20 journalists from seven prominent Chinese media spent 11 days in the reporting work, welcomed 30 230 interviews and published written, audio and video reports.
Two months later, journalists from major media of Pakistan visited Beijing and traveled along the Yangtze River. They introduced the reconstruction of the earthquake, the protection of species, the Three Gorges Dam and China's achievements in foreign trade for the Pakistani people.
Masood Khan, Pakistani ambassador to China said on the occasion: "The media in both countries should reflect the wishes of both countries to deepen ties between our two nations ... as their relationship grows, they will help us negotiate a better transition to a rapidly globalizing world.
